1000 Hills Community Helpers is situated in Inchanga, Kwazulu Natal. We are a registered Non-Profit and Public Benefit Organisation, dedicated to helping those in need. With the dedication of our Volunteers, Staff Members and Partners, we strive to improve the lives of everyone who needs help within the Community. People do not often visit these the secluded places and do not even realise people live in these dire circumstances. We are all so busy attending to our own daily needs that the disadvantaged individuals are often forgotten. The cry of a Child is not heard. There is no melody in the song to sing as the dark endless days of helplessness grow. As the Poverty level increases amongst our People, we go the extra mile to touch as many lives as possible. We want to make a difference in this World and strive to go all the way to minimize the burden of disadvantaged Individuals. Our Community Centre endeavors to provide a Safe and Stable environment for those in need.
Imagine what it would be like if we were to miss the sparkling laughter of Children? Children give meaning to our Lives, since they are the future of tomorrow and the mirrors of our Hopes. In response to the needs of our local Community’s plight, our own Community Care Centre was constructed comprising of a Health and Wellness Clinic, Children’s Infirmary, Feeding Scheme, Education, Craft/Curio Shop and Skills Development Facility.
Our vision is to improve the lives of HIV/AIDS infected and affected children and adults through treatment, clinics, feeding schemes, counselling, Home-based care, crèches and support groups.
If there has ever been an event in history that has united people across cultural, political and geographical boundaries, it is the AIDS pandemic of the 21st Century. While researchers put all their learning, skills and creativity into finding a cure for this modern-day plague - every day, people are still being infected and are dying. 1000 Hills Community Helpers exists to alleviate the suffering of the elderly and children in distress. As society has evolved and new horrors confront children, we have adapted our services to the needs of the community and focus particularly on children and communities impacted by AIDS.
We will fight and stand against stigma and discrimination. We will love and teach our community that together we can make a difference. We commit to the safety and ongoing support for those in our community. We commit to putting those in our community first by uplifting as many individuals as we can.
