Jars Of Hope

20 July 2020 | Shannen Harte

A couple of our High School teachers decided to give back for Mandela Month by donating dry soup jars to the 1000 Hills Community Helpers for families in need. The jars are layered with soup powder, a stock cube, lentils, rice and split peas. All you need to add is 2.5 litres of water and the soup feeds four people.

We would like to thank our wonderful teachers, Tracy Kirsten, Kathryn Bolton, Debbie Morgan and Debbie van Rooyen for donating 55 soup jars to help families in need this winter. The ladies handed the jars over to Maxwell Mfeka, one of the 1000 Hills Community Helpers who was humbled by the ladies donation.
