Send MeProject
Initially, the Thuma Mina Campaign was started by Jarrod Odendal, in the hope of finding a Sponsor for our Meals on Wheels initiative. Thuma Mina which means ‘Send Me’ in English; emphasizes the compassion and care towards one another by always lending a helping hand to our fellow neighbours in times of need.
We have a team of very dedicated little helpers who just love making these shirts, our little ones from the school symbolize our future and unity as a nation.
So as we continue to honour Madiba, we ask each and every individual to support us in this campaign to help raise funds for 1000 Hills Community Helpers.
We were blessed to have received a Donation from CompassioNow, in Loving Memory of Lee Kennedy; which afforded us the opportunity to purchase our amazing Trailer. We now have the means to extend assistance to our Elderly, Crippled and Terminally ill Community Members.
Furthermore, our Meals on Wheels Project has enabled us to serve an additional ±900 People in our Feeding Scheme.
The Thuma Mina Campaign continues to create awareness for assistance. We rely entirely on Donations from our generous Supporters. In-kind Donations are vital to the 1000 Hills Community Helpers ability to reduce our daily running costs. The sourcing of non-cash or Donations and value-added Services is essential to the effective daily functioning of our Community Centre.
At 1000 Hills Community Helpers, Residents from the Inchanga Community volunteer their time to the Centre. Together, we are a phenomenal Organisation. All Donations received are distributed to our Community, nothing is ever Sold. Many families survive on very little each month.
Please consider donating your pre-loved Clothing, Shoes, Stationery, Cutlery, Crockery, Linen, Curtains and other household items. In our Valley, all these items will find a new Home.
